We booked the whole inn for a 12-person wedding ceremony, and it was exactly what we were looking for. 1802 House is such a lovely space for an intimate gathering with friends and family. Incredible service, delicious breakfast, close to downtown Kennebunkport. Highly recommend. Thank you to Eileen and Carl for making our wedding day and weekend so special.

Loved our room; plenty of space to spread out. The house and property are beautiful and it's a very quiet area. Our host was so nice and responsive to requests. Awesome staff as well.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely overnight at the 1802 House. The Camden room fireplace and heated tile floors were perfect on a chilly night. It is a quick walk to Dock Square for shopping and dining. The house itself is clean and well-appointed, and the breakfast was perfectly delectable! A truly wonderful stay!

My wife and I stayed at 1802 House and had the most relaxing, enjoyable weekend! Our room was very cozy, well decorated, and extremely tidy, with everything we could have wanted in an inn for a weekend retreat. The gas fireplace definitely made the room feel nice and warm in the evenings. Breakfast was delicious each morning, with special attention given to our dietary restrictions. Carl and Eileen were very helpful with recommendations for things to do in the area, and we really appreciated their knowledge of the local area. The Inn is a short walk from downtown Kennebunkport and all of its restaurants and shops, which we really enjoyed as well. We hope to come back again soon, and would not hesitate to recommend 1802 House!

We really enjoyed the our stay at 1802 and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a b&b experience in Kennebunkport. The house is beautiful and clean and our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was tasty, and we also had the chance to use the outdoor fire pit area for beers and happy hour one afternoon. A great experience and a really good value.

Stayed with my wife for our anniversary and had a wonderful time! The inn keepers are super nice and made us feel at home! No matter how far you have to travel to get here, it's worth the trip!!

My husband and I had a lovely weekend getaway to KPT and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the 1802 House! The inn was cozy and charming, and Eileen and Carl were gracious hosts. They really take pride in their B&B, and it shows. The property itself is well-maintained and beautiful, the rooms are cozy have everything you could need (and a fireplace which was lovely!), and the amenities throughout were ample. There is coffee and tea in the main dining room for any time you might need it in addition to water and a few snacks they had as well. There is an outdoor seating area with a fire pit to relax at and some nice common seating areas as well indoors. The breakfast is really the shining star of this B&B, bravo Carl! Each morning we were treated to a three course breakfast in the dining room served by Eileen with fresh juices and coffee/tea. First a pastry, followed by fruit, followed by a main dish - each morning was truly spectacular! They also have a small outdoor dining area with heaters during the nicer months. Last but not least, the location of the inn was perfect! It was a quick walk into town, and only a stones throw away from the free public parking lot. Overall, 1802 House is your place to stay when in KPT! Beautiful inn, wonderful hosts, delicious breakfast, and a perfect location! Truly a gem!

When we travel in New England, my wife and I like to stay at bed and breakfasts that include the year the house was built. What can I say, it's our thing. I can say, initially I hesitated to make this reservation- the pictures were so-so, and it looked a little...older than we would have liked (even for a 220yr old home). But in the end, we did it, and boy, are we glad we did. We arrived late due to bad traffic (thanks for that, NY and CT), but Eileen and Carl were helpful and communicative and got us into our room when we arrived. The house was lovely...everything you'd want from a New England B&B- rustic fireplace, charming decor, interesting layout. We booked the Windsor room- it was lovely, with a fireplace (we did not use), a nice little sitting area, TV that could swivel so you could watch from the bed or the sitting area, private bath with a nice sized walk-in shower. The room was clean and comfortable. After settling in, we walked down to Kennebunkport. It was a quick 12min walk, which we sorely needed after our 14hr drive. This is one of the great things about the 1802 that people may not realize- the location. It's a quick walk to the town, you can get to it from the north so you can avoid having to deal with driving through the town (which is a big plus on a busy summer weekend, believe me)...it was just so convenient to be able to park and forget. The location is serene, set against a golf course on the end of a street in a residential area...just lovely. Carl and Eileen were great hosts! Coffee, tea and snacks available all day. Breakfast was a three course affair, Carl cooking and Eileen serving. Everything was DELICIOUS, which for us is a huge part of these trips- we love to enjoy good, clean food in a serene environment, and the 1802 House certainly delivered! I can't say enough good things about Carl and Eileen and their place- having taken over just before COVID and struggling through to emerge on the other side...I have a lot of respect for them, and to be able to maintain such a wonderful experience for their guests through it all...just amazing. I wish we had been able to stay for more than just a couple of nights, but our travels took us elsewhere. Next time we are back in ME though, we will definitely be looking to stay here again. I highly recommend you do, too!
